George lucas original sequel trilogy5/21/2023 ![]() If he wishes to direct one, two, or all three of the films, he should have that opportunity.) But, we believe, at minimum, the design work, script, director, cast, and final cut of each film should require George Lucas’s approval. We would like George Lucas to have the freedom to choose his level of involvement. ![]() We believe that Star Wars stories written by others, and substituted for the stories created by George Lucas, are not canon.Īs live action film versions seem a virtual impossibility, we would like you to produce a trilogy of CG animated films based on George Lucas’s stories for Episodes VII, VIII, and IX. We, the fans, see this decision as robbing us of our last opportunity to see authentic Star Wars. ![]() According to George Lucas, the decision to discard the stories he provided for the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy was made by Disney/Lucasfilm, because you wanted to “make something for the fans”. ![]() The apothecary diaries 75/21/2023 ![]() However, all of the comedic eccentricities and palace mysteries are right in line with Maomao and The Apothecary Diaries as a whole, particularly as some of the story threads start intertwining. ![]() By the time you reach the end, it’s easy to forget Maomao is almost deliriously celebrating she seems to have discovered a rival in volume 7’s opening chapter. ![]() Does the manga keep the same order? Were these side stories? Were they condensed, or is this just about the right length? Because Maomao offers up more advice here than number of chapters, so the story just keeps moving along. I do wonder how some of the shorter events were presented in the original novel. But while Maomao is laid up for days off-screen and the manga includes some introspectives from Jinshi and Lakan, Maomao is soon helping out or being dragged into more situations. ![]() Volume 6 ended on a dramatic note, with Jinshi panicking about Maomao’s injury as she passes out. The “s” at the end of (mis)adventures is key here. Add in Chinese chess, roses, and, of course, the death trap Maomao managed to interrupt at the end of volume 6, and yep, the (mis)adventures of Maomao certainly aren’t stopping any time soon! Krystallina: In just a few pages, The Apothecary Diaries volume 7 goes from the heroine chatting about the papermaking process to demanding a man to finish stripping in front of her. ![]() Levana marissa meyer5/21/2023 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() You also witness the gruesome scene in which Channary burns Levana, causing her disfigurement. Channary more interested in men and enjoying court life than ruling, while Levana is more strategic and interested in strengthening Luna's power. You meet Queen Channary, Levana's sister and Cinder's mother, and gain a better understanding of the relationship and differences between the two sisters. This chapter of the Lunar chronicles delves into the past. Like Winter's story, Fairest is a play on the classic fairy tale of Snow White, but focuses on events from the "bad guy," or in this case "bad girl's" point of view, similar to a fractured fairy. Why I liked it: Fairestfocuses on the evil Lunar queen, Cinder's aunt and Winter's stepmother. This extraordinary book includes a special full-color image of Levana's castle and an excerpt from Winter, the exciting conclusion to The Lunar Chronicles. New York Times–bestselling author Marissa Meyer reveals the story behind her fascinating villain in Fairest, an unforgettable tale about love and war, deceit and death. But who is Queen Levana? Long before she crossed paths with Cinder, Scarlet, and Cress in The Lunar Chronicles, Levana lived a very different story-a story that has never been told. Pure evil has a name, hides behind a mask of deceit, and uses her "glamour" to gain power. Like everything Marquez writes, there is some truth and much fiction in this tale. They traded papers, and she put the manuscript in the mail to his publisher. Fifteen months later, he emerged with the manuscript, only to meet his wife holding a stack of bills. One day, while he and his wife and children were in their car driving to Acapulco, he saw that he "had to tell story the way his grandmother used to tell hers, and that was to start from that afternoon in which a father took his child to discover ice." He made an abrupt U-turn on the highway, the car never made it to Acapulco, and he locked himself in his study. He claims that he wrote the book barricaded in his study in Mexico, after receiving a vision. Barad extends and partially revises Bohr’s philosophical views in light of current scholarship in physics, science studies, and the philosophy of science as well as feminist, poststructuralist, and other critical social theories. The starting point for Barad’s analysis is the philosophical framework of quantum physicist Niels Bohr. Offering an account of the world as a whole rather than as composed of separate natural and social realms, agential realism is at once a new epistemology, ontology, and ethics. In this volume, Karen Barad, theoretical physicist and feminist theorist, elaborates her theory of agential realism. Meeting the Universe Halfway is an ambitious book with far-reaching implications for numerous fields in the natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities. ![]() |
