The three body problem book review5/19/2023 ![]() ![]() This novel is a hard sci-fi story, so scientific concepts and theories are integral to the plot. I’m sometimes not a big fan of dual timelines, but in this case, it added to the mysteriousness of the story. The Three-Body Problem’s plot is where it shines! The book begins in the past, then shifts to the present, and goes back and forth between the periods. ![]() “In China, any idea that dared to take flight would only crash back to the ground. In current times, Wang Miao, a nanotechnologist, begins seeing impossible things and is threatened to stop his research. ![]() During China’s Cultural Revolution, astrophysicist Ye Wenjie works on a secret government project sending radio signals to the stars. I wish I had read this book earlier, as I loved it! The Three-Body Problem is the first book in the Remembrance of Earth’s Past series, a sci-fi series that takes place in China. I’ve owned The Three-Body Problem for a while, but I only recently decided to read it! I read many “first contact” novels last year and was really into them, so I picked this book up. ![]()
